The old Selbyville Bridge was torn down and a new one took its place!  In April, WV. Legislature adopted House Concurrent Resolution No. 14.  They named the new bridge, Corporal Willam Dely Memorial Bridge.

Corporal Dely, Ronnie as we all knew him, gave his life for our freedom.  He left behind many Friends and wonderful memories, in our Community of Selbyville.  Ronnie attended Selbyville Elementary School.  He graduated from Buckhannon Upshur High School in 1964.  Ronnie attended School with several of our Selbyville Volunteer Fire Department Members.

He joined into the U.S. Marine Corps.  Corporal Dely was sent to Paris Island, S.C and stationed in Lejeune N.C.  On August 24, 1965, he was sent to Viet Nam.  Ronnie was killed on June 13, 1966.  He was the 2nd Viet Nam casualty in Upshur Co.  He was brought home, and laid to rest in the Pleasant Dale Cemetery.  Pleasant Dale Cemetery is on Selbyville hill over looking his home town
